Gelu Sherpa – Professional Mountain Guide

A Life in the Himalayas

Namaste! I am Gelu Sherpa, a professional mountain guide from Nepal with years of experience leading trekkers and climbers through the majestic Himalayas. Born and raised in the heart of these towering peaks, my connection with the mountains is deeply personal. From a young age, I was inspired by the stories of legendary climbers and the breathtaking landscapes that surrounded my home.

The Journey to Becoming a Guide

My mountaineering journey began humbly as a porter, carrying loads through the rugged trails of the Khumbu region. Over time, my passion for the mountains and dedication to my craft led me to become an assistant guide, where I gained invaluable experience navigating treacherous routes and ensuring the safety of trekkers.

Through rigorous training, perseverance, and countless high-altitude expeditions, I achieved my dream of becoming a fully certified mountain guide. Today, I lead climbers and adventurers to some of the world’s most iconic peaks, sharing my knowledge, experience, and love for the mountains with those who seek adventure.
