Island Peak (Imja Tse) - Nepal’s Premier Trekking Peak

Island Peak (6,189m) is one of the most popular trekking peaks in Nepal, located in the Khumbu

region of Sagarmatha National Park. Known for its diverse terrain—sand, scree, rock, and

snow/ice—this peak offers a perfect opportunity to develop climbing techniques. The ascent

includes glacier travel, using crampons, and rope skills, making it ideal for those with basic

mountaineering experience.

A Historic Training Peak

Climbed by Hillary and Tenzing to prepare for Everest, Island Peak offers stunning views of

Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and the surrounding valleys. It remains a top training peak for aspiring

mountaineers and those preparing for 8,000-meter summits.

The Himalayan Zen Experience

Our small-group expeditions (2-10 climbers) provide expert guidance in a supportive

environment. Island Peak is not only a challenge, but also an opportunity to immerse yourself in
