Detailed Itinerary for Ama Dablam Expedition
Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m) & Transfer to the Hotel
Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day resting or exploring the vibrant city.
Day 2: Rest in Kathmandu, Expedition Briefing, and Preparation
Take a rest day to recover from your journey and prepare for the expedition. Attend a detailed briefing about the climb and finalize your gear and supplies.
Day 3: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla & Trek to Phakding (2,800m)
Take an early morning flight to Lukla, the gateway to the Khumbu region. Begin a gentle trek to the village of Phakding, walking along the Dudh Koshi River with scenic views.
Day 4: Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m)
Trek through pine forests, cross suspension bridges, and pass several villages before reaching Namche Bazaar, the bustling hub of the Khumbu region.
Day 5: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar (Rest Day)
Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Take a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for stunning vistas of Everest and surrounding peaks. Explore Namche’s markets and cafes.
Day 6: Namche Bazaar to Debuche (3,760m)
Trek through rhododendron forests and pass by the Tengboche Monastery. Continue downhill to Debuche, a peaceful village surrounded by towering peaks.
Day 7: Debuche to Pangboche (3,990m)
A relatively short trek leads to Pangboche, one of the oldest Sherpa villages. Visit the Pangboche Monastery and enjoy spectacular views of Ama Dablam.
Day 8: Pangboche to Ama Dablam Basecamp (4,450m)
Ascend to Ama Dablam Basecamp, nestled at the foot of the mountain. Settle into the camp and prepare for the climbing rotations ahead.
Day 9: Basecamp Preparation; Rest Day
Use this day to rest, acclimatize, and prepare your equipment for the upcoming rotations. Attend a detailed briefing about the climbing strategies.
Days 10-20: Rotations (Basecamp – Camp I – Camp II – Basecamp)
Conduct acclimatization and gear-carrying rotations between Basecamp, Camp I, and Camp II. This phase helps you adapt to the altitude and familiarize yourself with the climbing route.
Days 21-25: Summit Push (Basecamp – Summit – Basecamp)
Undertake the final ascent to the summit of Ama Dablam (6,812m). The summit push involves climbing from Basecamp through the higher camps and eventually reaching the summit. Descend safely back to Basecamp after this incredible achievement.
Day 26: Basecamp to Namche Bazaar
Retrace your steps from Basecamp to Namche Bazaar, enjoying the beautiful landscapes and reflecting on your accomplishment.
Day 27: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Trek back to Lukla, marking the end of your trekking journey. Celebrate with your team and locals in Lukla.
Day 28: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu & Transfer to the Hotel
Take a morning flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the comforts of the city.
Day 29: Leisure Day in Kathmandu City
Explore the cultural and historical landmarks of Kathmandu, such as Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple, and Durbar Square. Shop for souvenirs or relax.
Day 30: Transfer to International Airport for Final Departure
Conclude your expedition with a transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your flight home. Carry memories of an unforgettable adventure.
